Polycrystalline Solar Modules
Polycrystalline modules are made using cast blocks of silicon containing many small crystals. Polycrystalline cells are cheaper to produce and are slightly less efficient and are ideal for larger scale installations.
Our R&D department at NSI pride themselves in the design, development and manufacture of polycrystalline modules with models ranging from 190Wp to 280Wp power output, always pushing boundaries with the newest technologies available to produce even more efficient panels.
Polycrystalline (sometimes referred to as multicrystalline) are assembled like monocrystalline modules, only multi-faceted. By interconnecting multiple silicon cells by tapping and stringing the cells into an electrical configuration. These interconnected cells are then set out, laminated in a vacuum then cured by heating and then framed in light-weight aluminum (also available in black). Once sealed they become weatherproofed to extremely high levels of ultraviolet radiation and moisture.
All our modules are manufactured under the most stringent conditions conforming to ISO 9001 certification and conform to IEC61215 and IEC61730 Safety Class II, UL1703 and have MCS & CEC accreditation.
